+ 5 to Constitution- Cherry Squares

So another week another new recipe tried. These are Cherry Squares. They were originally going to be strawberry but I already had the cherry pie filling so I decided to use it instead. My boyfriend wanted birds nest cookies and I wanted something I could make without feeling to guilty after eating them so I found these cake cookie like squares on Skinnytaste.com.

The only issue I personally had with these was that I think the recipe called for too much sugar or at least they tasted to me to be a little too sweet. My boyfriend however thought they were fine the way they were but I think when I make them again I will try adding less. They are also not as pretty as I would have liked them to look. Need to work on my jam placement. Some of them look cool because they have an individual cherry baked into them… Or maybe I just think it looks cool. Regardless I would recommend the recipe to anyone looking for a fast, easy treat that is made with ingredients easily found around the house… (Well maybe not the pie filling.)
