My name is Effy and I am a history student who in her spare time I likes to practice sewing and making costumes as well as being involved in other nerdy things. My first contact with cosplay was in 2001 when I found a link to a cosplayers website on a old RPG forums I was a member of but it wasn’t until 2003 that I started to really get into it.

This blog is mostly self-serving but then again what blog isn’t? It’s more of a way for me to able to rant or share my misadventures in sewing with friends. I will go into some detail about different techniques that I use and hopefully in the future I would like to maybe make some tutorials. I do not claim to know everything that there is about sewing nor am I professionally trained. (And I am sure that will be evident to some.) If you come across me doing something and you know of another way in which I might do it then feel free to leave me a comment with a link or a paragraph as to which methods that you find works the best! I am always open to learning new ways to construct things. I may from time to time talk about other nerd related interests but I promise not to get too preachy.

Because I will be reblogging fan debris from time to time the main page of my Tumblr will no doubt be cluttered. However, I have been creating pages located in my side bar that will link straight to my original blog posts.
